Is Regan behind this because it is starting to freak me out. What you are looking at are THREE Bane Excorcist shirts from 2000. That’s 10 years ago. And the shirt wasn’t that prolific to begin with. Not many made. On top of that, each seller, xanthonyx_cth, routeattack & chrisreject has a MEDIUM tshirt for sale. Yes, 3 medium tshirts of a design from 2000. That’s weird, right? I can’t be the only one who finds this extremely odd. We might need a visit from Father Karras on this one.

Play On!
Here’s a great Bane tshirt from 4-5 years back. This one was designed by a friend of Naidoo’s (his name is slipping my mind, sadly. Naidoo, fill us in), and it does a great job of capturing the spirit of Bane. The slogan itself, “Play On” is pretty much the mantra for the band. After 14 years, they are still busting ass every night, giving it their all. And despite growing up, they’ve never grown old. These dudes are still hardcore kids at heart. They still believe in dragons. I can hang with that.
bgczn2 is a local dude, but the ebay name is not familiar. If you are reader, speak up dude. You have some great tees on ebay now. Dope. Continue reading
You Better Stop And Think
I was lucky growing up in and around Boston. Granted, I officially grew up in Maine, but in hardcore terms, my growing up occurred in Worcester, MA. I spent some of the best years of my life rolling around Worcester, from age 18 to 23. This was a good time for Massachusetts hardcore. 1998 to 2003. Boston Straight Edge Still On Top. It also didn’t hurt that I rolled with a very active crew. For years, I lived with dudes who would go on or had already been in some big bands or record labels. I was just that guy who got to ride the wave with them. Lugging guitar heads, selling merch or just riding in the van. The roommate/housemate members of list is pretty cool. Converge, Bane, Knockdown, CBP, Deathwish Inc Records, The Dialtones, Barrit, Relm, The Sheist, Only Crime, The Life Recording Company, Incite, fortydaysrain, Cannae and of course, Stop And Think.
During the summer of 98, I rolled to many, many shows with AJ. At this time, AJs roommates were doing their own thing, not core related. Hallee was hanging with the FTC crew in SF, Blair was whining about girls. I was living rent free in Hallee’s room. Running everyday, and going to shows with AJ after he got out of work. We’d roll to The Space or down to Connecticut. Whether it was to the Tune Inn for a Tenfold reunion or The Met Cafe for the Rev Tour, we were down to roll. Summer 98 was one of the best and AJ was to thank for a lot of that.
Fast forward 3 summers. AJ had moved into Boston with a bunch of dudes (with an even great lineage than the one I listed above, probably). He was starting a band with his roommates and I got a chance to see them play out. I heard some of the early recordings and was around for a lyric critique. It was a cool sight. Next thing you know, they are playing Mass Art and the crowd is going wild. AJ would mosh on stage and flip into the crowd, all without losing the mic. It was impressive. Now if Mental would just release a new record, we could get another Stop And Think show. Someone set that up.
I Pity Da Fool
It All Comes Down To This.
Great album.
This tee?
A little goofy. Well, the front is chill. It’s the back that gets me.
I can understand the concept. That’s pretty clear. Kamikaze pilot does what he’s got to do. Sure thing. Clear.
But I don’t know about you, but homeboy has always looked like Mr. T to me. Didn’t stop me from buying the tee, of course.
Ps. Seller claims it is a roomy XL. I’m calling BS compared to his other auction pics where he is wearing a size small. Looks like a good large to me.
Bane – Fuck Yeah
Something about this shirt makes me cringe.
I’m sure that was the intended affect. Guess what? It worked.
Wearing a tshirt with a 3″x8″ “FUCK” is just not for me.
In fact, back in 2003, I bet it was more appropriate to wear a tshirt featuring marionette sex than this tee.
Lets take a minute (or 2 and 5 seconds) to watch this video.
Books.
Bane Crewnecks
It’s still Naidoo’s birthday, so I’m still posting Bane merch. Wish the young man a good one, please.
As a guy with the “third best Bane merch collection,” he likely already has these.
But who doesn’t love a crewneck?
The first crewneck is actually the first crewneck Bane ever made. 10th anniversary gear. Love a crewneck.
The second crewneck was first sold on the Foundation tour in fall of 2009. Probably the last US tour? Not sure if they still have these for their current South America tour. You’ll notice the font is direct from “Vengeance of Bane.” Shout out to @comicnoize. I wear this second crewneck often.
Banana Yellow Hood
Bane dropped these hoods for their 10th anniversary gig.
I’m pretty fond of it. You can’t really go wrong with a bright yellow Champion hood. The cupcake on the back shoulder is a nice touch too.
Funny story.
These hoods were printed up at the last minute (or so it seemed). They came out of the boxes and still felt warm from dryers. And it seemed like a rush job. I know that at least one hood had ALL the letters fall off. That left it as a one sided cupcake hood. Since that hood couldn’t really be sold to a Bane head, I gladly swooped in.
Win / Win Situation
This seller has it all working for him.
1. He’s selling Lladro figurines.
2. He has negative feedback (claims “ebay sold one item to the two people via a BIN.” Okkkkkkkkk …..)
3. The pictures are excellent.
4. He’s selling a sparkly Bane shirt.
Dalbec told me (or maybe it was Bedard) that people in the UK and Europe ate these tees up. I’m not sure I exactly believe that, but anything is possible.
I recall the shirts made IN the UK were extra sparkly. The ones made in America had sparkle, but it wasn’t quite so intense. The UK ones made me think of a craft project that went off the tracks. I can’t tell from these pics which one he is selling (I’d guess the USA made one, though, considering his location).
Bane Triple B Tee
Bane released a crap ton of EPs this year. Two on most continents.
Australia, Asia and South America went for CDs.
But America and europe both got EPs. One of the labels to release an EP was Triple B Records. Sam’s a good dude, very responsible with pre-orders and packing items properly. Big fan of this dude.
This is a shirt Triple B did for the first Bane EP they did. I’m 99.9% certain this shirt has a giant Triple B logo on the back. Not sure why the seller doesn’t mention it. It’s pretty damn hard to miss.
Of course, I’m torn on this shirt. On the positive side, it’s a Bane tee with a chill ass graphic. On the negative side, it’s a navy blue shirt. Ooofffff. Navy blue.
Head over to Triple B Records and pick up some new releases. Quit sleeping. That reminds me, I still need to pick up a white Triple B logo tee. Word!
One King Down Bloodlust Revenge
Jaybil is always talking about shirts he would see at least once a show in CT.
This is the Worcester version.
You couldn’t walk three feet in the Espresso Bar without hitting one of these tees. It probably helps that Rob would later go on to sing for the Worcester band fortydaysrain. Worcester seemed to have a lot of love for OKD. Who knows why.
Gotta love the giant EVR backprint. I feel like you don’t see enough of that anymore. Bring back giant Rev stars too.
