Heat Wave

I don’t know what it’s like in your hood, but it’s fucking hot up in here. They’re saying we’re in for a 3 day heat spell. It was 95F at some point today. Not cool, not cool at all. At this time of year, I like to daydream about wearing steep tech gear and snow shoeing. Nothing beats a heat wave like some chilling dreams. Sadly, the closest I’ll get is a Cold World North Face shirt. Great tee. Smart usage of the rear graphic placement. Always loved this one.

I bet Kenny Loggins is proud.

Ending Soon – Chester Cheetah?

That doesn’t look like Chester Cheetah to me, but according to theriseandfall, that’s the title this shirt was given.

Maybe it’s the orange color? Very cheetos-esque.

The seller says

i believe this shirt was made for “friends only” black shirt with orange ink. size medium. very limited.

I like when people are a little more explicit with what is what. Is this fake hype, is this #realtalk? No idea. Anyone know the details on this one?

Update: Got a few notes about this. Here goes.

From a member of Cold World: This was made as a tank top for Posi Numbers 05. Don’t remember making tees of that [design]. Doesn’t mean we didn’t though.

From a well respected CW head: fake hype on the cw shirt. the only “friends only” [merch] was a tank top with cold world in orange and a grey hoodie with green puff ink.

War Hungry – Return To Earth Long Sleeve Tee

I don’t think War Hungry gets the credit they deserve. And I don’t know why that is. These kids are hungry and fierce. Hoodrack is a NBD who is always on the prowl. Maybe they don’t play enough shows, maybe they aren’t trendy enough, I don’t know. What I do know is that the demo was on constant rotation in my car after the last Posi Numbers. No doubt.

Cold World – Mars Blackmon Tee

Cold World and Lockin Out Records dropped these shirts on kids at the last Posi Numbers. When Cold World showed up, kids started following them and their boxes all over the venues. They didn’t even get a chance to OPEN the boxes before kids started asking about sizes. When this shirt came out of the box, I thought kids were going to start punching each other in the dicks just to be the first to get one. It felt like a mini riot; there may have been trampling involved.

Of course, the vibe and image is pure Nike Jordan. From the Mars Blackmon image to the color choices. You throw this on, grab your AJ1s and go hit the court. Steb will meet you there, and he’ll probably school your ass, but at least you’ll look good.
