Is it just me or does it seem like there is a sudden influx of Quicksand shirts recently? Maybe I was never looking for them in the past. I actually have this shirt. I picked it up at a used record shop for cheap in hopes of trading it away one day but then it kinda grew on me. I scooped up a “Slip” era longsleeve too that was waaaaaaay too big for me as well. I also knew huge Quicksand head that it would fit perfect – Aaron Bedard. So when Bane came around on tour last year I gave it to Bedard and he was stoked. I could have made some dough off Ebay or held onto it for a trade but it was much better to make someones day. I feel like HC kids have forgotten the tradtion of handing down old gear and records in favor of profits. If you have something you wanna get rid of that your boy would like. Hook them up! PMA. Buy this shirt from loop88 and hook someone up with a surprise gift.

even more Quicksand
Another Day …
Another Quicksand tee. Slip is just one of those albums that has stood the test of time. Not a hardcore album, really, but a great rocking album. Put it on now. It sounds as fresh as it did when it dropped in 93. 17 years later, still dope.
Is it just me, or does this tee have a SF Giants vibe going on?
Check out this Rival School’s post on my friends blog. And then go buy his stuff on ebay.
Quicksand Tee
I love Quicksand.
That’s all. There are no more words to describe them. Watch this video. Then buy this tee. Great tee.
** Does this shirt remind you of the Moe’s logo dude? Weird.
Walking Concert Limited Tee
As you all know, I fully support Walter projects.
Gorilla Biscuits
Quicksand
Civ
Solo Acoustic jams
…
But some how, like Rival Schools, I never got into Walking Concert. Somehow, this band is not chill (like acoustic jams) or heavy (like GB) enough for me. They sit in that middle gap that leaves me nonplussed.
Probably just me. I’m sure some UnitedByWalter fans are going to hunt me down for making those statements. Perhaps I should give it another shot.
What about this shirt? Typical wacky walter style. Is that a chick lounging on top of an umbrella in the rain? Wild
Rival Schools – United By Fate Tee
Somehow, I never got into Rival Schools. I just missed it.
I also didn’t get into World’s Fastest Car (that’s right, isn’t it?).
But I loved Quicksand.
And I love the Wally solo stuff. His acoustic jams are pretty chill. I even like the acoustic Rival Schools stuff. When I listen to the Rival Schools album, I keep hoping it’ll sound more like the acoustic jam.
This shirt is ill though. It’s always seemed like a nod to Insted’s Bonds of Friendship LP. A good look, no doubt. Plus, great color for a tee.
Audrey, what are you so mad about?
Quicksand – Rev Tee BIN
This is a pretty tempting BIN offer. $50 is probably a steal.
Great shirt.
Walter is a dude. No doubt. Out there, but his music is pretty flawless.
I’ll say this:
Walter > Moz
Yeap, that’s right. I said it. GB > The Smiths, Quicksand > Solo Moz, …
Truth.
Quicksand – Slip Tee
Before the Gorilla Biscuits played a reunion show at the Palladium in Worcester, MA, a whole crew of us were heading to Nancy Changs for eats. And when I say a whole crew, I mean, a whole crew. Like 14-15 people. It was Pike, Sweet Pete, Merrick (of course), myself and four fifths of the Gorilla Biscuits crew. Everyone was down for eats, except Walter.
I told Walter about the restaurant we were going and how it had some cool veg options, but he was passing. Instead, he wanted to go for a jog. Keep in mind, this was on a Saturday in the beginning of August. It was hot as hell and Walter just wanted to go for a cruise around the wonderful streets of Worcester. I gave him a few words of warning, and off he went.
Later, after the rest of us were full, Walter came cruising back from his jog. When I asked him what he thought of Worcester, he replied, “it’s really nice.” Now I’m guessing he must have jogged through a dimensional port hole because I’ve never heard anyone describe the immediate area around Main St Worcester as “nice.”
No matter. He jogged and then played an amazing show. In an outfit of white. White pants, white tee, white shoes, WHITE CAPE. Yeap, white cape. Great look. Genius dude, no doubt.
I never saw Quicksand play, but every time Mental covered Omission, I would lose my mind. I miss Mental. Boston Straight Edge!
