Here’s a great In My Eyes shirt from sarahkali22. Don’t worry, the title was just for grins. Nothing To Hide still gets regular rotation. I would listen to the demo even more if it wasn’t for those damn click tracks. Someone should convert the tape to mp3. That’d be good.

As for the Summer Tour 98 tee, it’s just dope. The best part is obviously the portion that immediately washed off. I guess when the shirts were screened, they weren’t heat dried long enough. So on the the first wash & dry, most of them lost the right hand print. “In My Eye” style. Overall, great shirt. I’m guessing this one is a Tultex brand. Don’t see that one very often anymore … This shirt is one of a small handful that does NOT say “In My Eyes Boston Straight Edge” too. Very few shirts were released by the band without those mentions: stacked, skyline, … a few others?

Shore Style

Over the weekend, I participated in many activities which could be considered shore style, at least, I’m assuming they would be approved of by the experts.** Lets break it down. On Saturday, I did chores in my Hardware Fanzine shirt. Sweeping, cleaning, dump travels, the works. Later that night, I helped grill pizza and bbq tofu (Actually, that last one is probably only supported by Zusi and Alpino), which I ate until I nearly exploded. Then on Sunday I picked blueberries and later that day, helped make sorbet. Now that might not initially sound Shore Style, but I’m sure those boys are down to eat fresh ice cream and sorbet. So yeah, shore style all the way.

As for germinariom3, I think we may have to call his style into question. Who buys an amazing longsleeve like this and NEVER wears it? That’s just crazy talk. Courtesy of Naidoo (jersey style. Shore style? Maybe), I have one that I wear often. Great look.

Don’t Forget Your Roots!

There is a long tradition of tweaking old shirt designs for modern bands. Have you ever seen the Gorilla Biscuits x Uniform Choice shirt? It’s a think of beauty. So like I was saying, this process has a very long, wonderful and sometimes shitty history. Luckily, in this post, you get the good side.

First up is a Straight Ahead tee from calebokhc. I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt on his description. I think he just goofed the band names (but he really BLEW it on catching those key word matches, that’s for sure). You can’t really go wrong with this cover. Great look. Jay and the crew made a nice one here.

Then there is this Converge tee from huludicidalball. On this auction, I’m being less lenient. Dude did not even mention the This Is Boston Not LA comp. Didn’t even give a nod. That’s just sad. Hopefully the kid realizes where this graphic came from. If not, I worry for our future … Is there really a fest called “Fuck You Fest??”

Over My Dead Northern Towns

I saw Over My Dead Body once. Just once. They came east on a tour, and I caught them in Providence, RI. It was a pretty good gig. After the band broke up, dudes chilled for a bit then started up more bands. Dan Sant started a band called Northern Towns. While obviously not a straight edge hardcore band, their style is still pretty chill. Lot more “hipster” flavored than finger point flavor. I would gladly enjoy listening to Northern Towns while enjoying a burrito at Pokeez. Any day of the week. Maybe twice daily, even.

Oh Rival Mob, why must you be so silly? I love this mud flap styled Tasmanian Devil tank top. I’m guessing that they sold out of these bad boys. I wonder what kind of magic they are going to bring to Sound And Fury? We will keep you posted.

For a straight edge band, the mongos sure do feature a lot of weed related graphics. Like this tshirt from d-flow-projekt. I’m not sure if this is a Lost reference, or just a polar bear smoking a big one, but it seems pretty cool. Good use of color, Bob Marley would be proud.

I’m guessing the turtle is currently saying, “Puff, puff, give. Puff, puff, give. You’re fucking up the rotation!”

Pray For Atlanta

A few months back, Foundation was touring on their Pray For Atlanta tour. Not sure if the tour was named that, but it sure sounds like a good idea. For a while, bigcartel had a slew of these shirts up. If you didn’t buy them then, you missed out. If you are an XL, 123kearston has got your crack. And if you prefer to Pray For America, bigcartel has your back. If you don’t prefer to pray at all, I’d suggest a wonderful Deicide, Immolation or Cradle Of Filth shirt?

Sometimes in the real world, it is hard to explain to someone why you don’t drink. You either come off like a recovering alcoholic, or a prudie good shoes. If you wore this shirt all the time, I think people would get it.

Or at least stop asking dumb questions.
