Mongoloids Rip Of A Floorpunch Rip Of A Smorgasbord

The Mongoloids are notorious for being merch machines and printing up new (and old) designs. They also continue to pay tribute to bands they dig like this Floorpunch/Smorgasbord rip off from itsxaliveandwell. We’ve seen this same design before in a crewneck but the mosher on the front is much bigger here and it doesn’t have the band logo on the front. This was sold at Sound and Fury last summer and I’m not sure if it was sold afterwards but I dig it more than the crewneck.

Stray Rats Straight Edge

My dude Julian (Koopz) runs the line “Stray Rats” and made this Smorgasbord Straight Edge rip tee as a limited edition for his fellow edgemen, mainly those from Florida. I’ll let disciplinex explain how he acquired it:

I don’t really know much about Stray Rats or this shirt, not my thing, it just ended up in my living room for 3 months. I am under the impression that it is limited and friends only shirt for the summer 2011, because it was sent to my apartment for this dildo from Florida that used to crash on my couch and it got to my place after I kicked him out.

10 Years of Smorgasbord Straight Edge

If ever there was an iconic straight edge tee, the Smorgasboard Straight Edge design might very well be it, although now it seems like the design is more closely associated with Floorpunch than the label. cf-32 brings us a Smorgasbord 10 Year Anniversary design that looks like it was never worn. I remember kids going nuts for these as they were limited (if I remember correctly). The Xed fist on the front, the arched logo on the back. Great look. Curious to see where this will go for…also, US bidders, this is coming from the UK so keep that in mind when bidding.

I am going to guess that there were not many of these 3 button short sleeve Smorgasbord Records shirt made. This looks like something that my mother in law would get me for Christmas to go with some novelty pajamas. I don’t want to knock on xmaulx‘s auctions too bad, but this is #NOTSWAG.

Edgewise Tour 91 long sleeve

Here is a shirt that my buddy Stephen has been looking to add to his Edgewise collection. The shirt looks to be in decent condition. Great description from the seller. ” This long sleeve has been worn but isn’t broken, just broken in.” I’m gonna steal that someday. Hardball – Progression Straight Edge Tee

I love a quality Smorgasbord Straight Edge Tshirt!

Oh wait, I mean Progression Straight Edge. I’m not even sure if that’s a record label or just a state of mind. I’m assuming there is a connection between Hardball and Smorgasbord Records somewhere, but I can’t think of it. Voice Of the Voiceless?

Great One For One graphic on the back. Hopefully also drawn up by Guav. But I can’t vouch for that.

I interviewed Guav about a million years ago about the Hardball ep. It was amusing.

You drew the hardball 7″ design. How did that come about?

I think I was still living in Ithaca when I did that. Yeah, I think Rob R Rock and his girlfriend Krys were living with me for the summer…. He was putting that out, and I had already had that character drawn up, it was just the type of thing I always drew back then. He used it. I didn’t even know Ryan Downey (the singer of Hardball) back then I don’t think. I think it was around then that I first met him.

Smoragasboard Straight Edge 10years shirt

I bought this shirt at the New Milford Teen Center in New Milford, CT. Probably at a Follow Through show :) I remember people were so stoked when this shirt came out. I know I was. I also know some people fronted hard too and brought their shirt shirts to a tailor and had the sleeves replaced with blank ones so they could try to pass them off as OG shirts. Good idea or posing hard?

Smorgasbord – SXE Longsleeve

A Smorgasbord Records longsleeve.

You don’t see a lot of these on ebay anymore.

Hell, you don’t EVER see any in this condition. Most have super cracked fronts and back, ink chipping off everywhere. This one looks minty fresh. But it’s OG, fear not.

Actually, who am I talking to? No one is vegetarian anymore, let along straight edge AND vegetarian. I know some people go by the rule, “I’M NOT sxe or vegan but EARTH CRISIS IS sxe and vegan. That’s their thing, not MY thing.” But that’s not how I roll. Back when I was not straight edge, I refused to buy any gear that proclaimed “Straight Edge.” To me, maybe it’s those particular labels because I definitely don’t see any issue with rocking an ironic Have Heart pot leaf tee (if I owned one, that is).

I’ve been thinking about it some more, and my list of vegan sxe friends is actually larger than I recall. Lets run through it again: Pete, Cushman, Dalbec, Tre, Klint, Raio, The Wrenns, Mike Alert, … Damn, that’s almost forcing me to use my toes to count em all.
