We stand alone, unless you are in a black friday line.

Well I hope while you are shopping for all of your Black Friday goodies that you remember to bid on this Sick of it all shirt that endofmymind is selling. The print on this shirt is great for being just over 20 years old now. Sick of it all is actually playing in Providence this Sunday and I might go. I think the last time I saw them was at the Living Room a few years ago and they didn’t really play many older songs, hopefully they will this time!

Knuckleheads

Which one of you knuckleheads is spending $52 on this Rival Mob shirt from soulvice88? That’s just silly. I bought one of these for Casali at a Rival Mob gig in Providence.

April 29, 2009 @ Club Hell Providence RI: Bane, Rival Mob, Have Heart, Free Spirit, Outrage

Not sure why Casali wasn’t there. He lives less than 20 minutes away. No idea. Great gig though. Free Spirit was great that night. Gil gave me a Free Spirit tank top. Definitely coming in handy these last few days with the weather. Good look too. Not that I suggest it for everyone. Probably not a look I should suggest for myself for that matter … But back to the gig, it was great. Rival Mob was really on point that night. Brendan was his usual funny self. Lots of great one liners. Glad I picked this shirt up then and now now. Saved myself at least 42 dollars.

Penguins are HARD Style

Penguins.

Hard Mosh.

Who’d have thought a shirt that featured penguins could garner such a pricetag. $$$.

No doubt, I love Rival Mob. I love this tee too. I have one in white. I also have one for JayBil in white. Gotta figure out how to get that to him still.

My first experience with the Rival Mob was in Providence. Great gigger at Club Hell. Of course, it started super late. Free Spirit was slow jamming after work or something.

April 29, 2009 @ Club Hell Providence RI: Bane, Rival Mob, Have Heart, Free Spirit, Outrage

I can’t recall Outrage playing. No idea why. I think I might have been outside during their set talking to the Free Spirit dudes. Ouch, I’m an asshole. The Free Spirit set was phenomenal. Soo good. Lots of love, lots of mosh. Have Heart threw a set in next. I guess someone was sick, and it was a semi scab line up (as I recall). So they wanted to play earlier in the gig. Great set, and I had my fingers crossed that heads wouldn’t leave. Not many did. The smart ones stayed because they then got to witness Radigan rip it up. Seriously, mind blowing set. I worry for any band that would follow Have Heart, but Rival Mob accomplished it. And killed it. Pretty sure someone in the Grillo’s crew broke their foot moshing. Now that’s hard style. Oh yeah, and this little band called Bane played. Great gig.

Soul Control Knows Rip Off Designs

Soul Control is from Providence RI.

They’ve released full length albums on both Rivalry and Bridge Nine Records. They’ve released EPs on a few labels (including Rivalry and B9 as well as a few others).

If you haven’t heard of this band, you obviously live under a rock as they have toured extensively over the last 3 to 4 years. Playing America, Canada, Europe and (I’m pretty sure), JP. Jaybil or Jim C could verify that for me.

Here are a few obvious designs which I feel were all sould on one tour.

Quicksand.

Black Sabbath

Bad Brains

Smart. Very Smart.

Verse – Bob Marley Tee

I can’t be positive, but I believe this shirt was sold at Sound And Fury a few years back. Or maybe Sink With California. Whatever it is, California seems to bring out some sort of wacky love.

And usually that wacky love revolves around weed or weed heads (think Have Heart Smoke With Cali, or Floorpunch’s S&F 2009 Fast Times tee). What is it? I don’t know. You never see any straight edge bands sponsoring weed related merch on east coast bills (if I’m mistaken, please let me know). Must be something in that Cali water.

Of course, no one in Verse is still straight edge. Actually, a few dudes might be, I can’t recall. I do know that a few members busted edge. Probably enjoying some weed and Bob Marley as we speak.

One love, Versers. It’s all good.
