WHOA. Hi Fi And The Roadburners

Whoa. Is Hi Fi And The Roadburners STILL a band? This blows my mind. repjack111 doesn’t say if this is a reprint or old, but my guess is recent. The font is crisp, and the pocket logo is very 4-5 years ago, as far as design goes. Plus, there’s this video from a few months back. Wow.

Best part of this tshirt? No bulldog. LOL

A Firestorm To Purify Again

Adding to Jbil’s “Firestorm” post the other day, xburgunderx brings us the updated “Firestorm” design. Victory “updated” the design adding the record cover to the front which they did with a few of their designs of the era. This one is from about 1995 and is 100% bulldog free.

A Strife For Every Season

It really seems like x614x has something for everyone. How about a Strife short sleeve, long sleeve and a hoodie? Sure, 2 of them were Victory prints but the first is their version of the Smorgasbord rip off. Not exactly a complete rip but still a good look. This was printed in at least 2 other colorways (White on black and yellow on navy) with the yellow on navy being my favorite.

The long sleeve is from “In This Defiance” and features artwork from the record. Looks like it was quickly thrown together by the label but I still dig it.

This was the design the label sold for years after the band broke up. No signs of a bulldog or the label name so those of you that suffer from Bulldogitus can rest easy.

Snapcase Steps Longsleeve

If you hate bulldogs, then this Snapcase longsleeve being sold by xcoldxdeadxhandsx is for you. A Snapcase Victory design with NO bulldogs. This is actually the first Steps design which would later be changed around and 3 live photos added to the back. No sleeve print.

Reach The Sky 2001 Tour

electrichorror brings us a 2001 tour tee from Reach the Sky. Judging by the year, the band would have been supporting “Friends, Lies and the End of the World”. Victory Records released, not a single bulldog in sight. I wasn’t a huge fan back then but, as always, I got into them after they had broken up. Their set at Burning Fight in Chicago was easily top 5 of the weekend.

Buried Alive Windbreaker

My dude and fellow Miami Hurricane alliedtrailers is selling a Buried Alive windbreaker that has no signs of a bulldog anywhere. This one was probably printed by the band as opposed to the label and sold on tour. It seems like people are split on windbreakers now…either kids are into em or they hate them. Me? I still love them. Buried Alive is and always will be my favorite Scott Vogel band and I know I’m not alone on this. Every time I saw them, it was like there was a war inside the room. Winter’s coming…this jacket is perfect for breaking wind. MELT AWAY!!!!!!

Refused The Slayer

At one point, Refused was actually covering Slayer’s “South of Heaven” on tour. I happened to miss the time they did it in Miami with Snapcase but my buddy let me know all about it in excruciatingly great detail. You knew the dudes were down with metal…hell, they even had the logo from the shirt that weaksauce selling in the insert for their Victory Records debut “Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent”. The band was still straight edge at this point and I dig how they made the X with the swords. Im glad I was able to see them before they broke up…great live band. This one looks to be in great shape and was printed on a black tee. I’ve also seen this in navy blue so this one would be Murphy approved. Great look and also note the lack of bulldogs for those with an allergy to bulldogitis.

Ringworm

To be quite honest, I don’t know much about Ringworm’s back catalog. I mean I know the records but if you put on a specific song, I wouldn’t know which it is. The band is still going strong (and still on Victory much to most people’s dismay) and touring actively. burningfight has a 1995 tour tshirt that is apparently navy but from the pictures I’d say more of a sea green. This was before Ringworm signed with Victory so no signs of Bulldogs on this one. I love the Jesus design on the back of this one. 1995 was a great year

The antidote is veganism

Earth Crisis has been in my top 5 favorite hardcore bands ever since I first heard Firestorm back in 1995. Nothing has changed as I still love them and collect their merch obsessively (if anyone has the Firestorm record release shirt, get at me). octoberust69 is selling a two tshirt lot which includes the re-designed “Built To Last” designed with was sold at the reunion show in Baltimore back in 2007. The other is the re-designed “Animal Liberation” design that Victory pressed to death. This design (the original) as well as “The Discipline” design were the longest running design that Victory printed. The original features the slaughterhouse photo from the “Destroy The Machines” insert whereas this has three random photos. I’m not sure if the reprint has the dreaded Bulldog sleeve print or not as you can’t tell from the photos. octoberust69 also states that he bought the reprint in the 90s…pretty sure Victory changed this design in the early 2000s but I could be wrong…also, a medium in the 90s? Sure it’s possible…

Buried Alive may have been drenched in disease but not bulldogs

This Buried Alive shirt was mass produced by Victory Records from about 1999 til 2005 (roughly and might still be sold). I have two of this same design and I have to say that I don’t think there are any signs of a certain bulldog present. casualtyofthejake looks to have kept this one in pretty shape. Buried Alive is still my favorite Vogel band…their set at Hellfest 2000 was ridiculous. Good times, great band.
