Greedy Stick Together

What gives with the great Stick Together sell off lately? Is it me, or is ebay completely flooded with their merch? I swear. People can’t even be bothered to take decent photos anymore. They have to sell on hype alone. Take this nike windrunner being sold by pandadestroyer. It’s hot. No doubt. I wish I had one, no doubt. But this is just poor. The seller claims this jacket is brow/orange. Can you see brown/orange there? I’d expect a green/red jacket from the pics below. Also, not sure how much these dudes were charging for these originally, but the $100 opening bid seems just a tad steep, no? Pretty limited. Got one in a large? Get at me. I want.

What was that I was saying last week about digging it when bands use the Nike Swoosh? Well, Stick Together have apparently done me one better, and screened their own Nike windbreaker!?! This auction has been up and running for 3 days, how’d we miss this til now?!

I always get a kick out of it when bands utilize the Nike swoosh (tho ironically, not so much when random tee makers slap EDGE or VEGAN above it, go figure). And we’ve got a pair here that I like very much: a Terror crew neck from this year’s United Blood with a Reaper Records swoosh, and an E Town Concrete take on the Just Do It tees of the 80s that tweeks the swoosh into a pistol. An interesting version to say the least…

Here’s one from crazymetalhead516 that I actually wish was Fury of V shirt. Cuz I like the shirt, but vastly prefer Fury over E-Town.

Sudden realization: I thought that was just a splattery version of the swoosh, but it’s meant to be a gun isn’t it. That’s totally a trigger on the top. That’s just as lame as the $45 start bid on this.

H2O Sneakerhead

Jaybil claimed earlier this week that he wasn’t into rip off shirts but could make exceptions in certain circumstances. In his listing, he exclude this Trapped Under Ice shirt, which looks A LOT like a certain Agnostic Front tee. You know the exact one I’m talking about … Which you can still buy from the band over on Young Angry And Poor. Sweet.

So the question is, what does he make of this H2O tee from practice72? We know Jay is down for the design since the Mental Crew tee he put together was very similar to this. And the Air Max One? Unfuckwithable. I bet fans of sneakernoize.com who have NEVER heard of hardcore or h2o would approve regardless. I’m very curious what Jay’s opinion on this one is …**

** I’m guessing he’ll complain about the font that is used for “H2O” and the lack of arch. Just a guess.

Beamer, Benz or Bentley?

x2fast2livex has provided me with a great opportunity to use the phrase, Beamer, Benz or Bentley. You’ll see below the 3 items.

Beamer. Any shirt with a LOC logo is certifiable gold. Since it’s a Cold World shirt, it’s almost certifiable platinum.

Michael Jordan. G.O.A.T. No doubt. Bulls were the biggest in the 80s and 90s (just slightly bigger than the Celtics as the years progressed). Benz stylee.

Bentley. No explanation required.

Cold World. You’re moshing.

Crucial Kicks.

I’m not going to lie, xsellxoutx is doing something right here. Not only is he playing off of sneaker heads, but he’s also tying it into hardcore heads. Seriously, this is genius marketing. Great work on cross promotion.

Check out this PX pic. Dudes are looking smart. Yale tee, camo shorts and Nike Air Revolutions. Classic straight edge look.

Or go a little further back, and you have SSD sporting Nike Blazers. At this point, I’m guessing most kids were either wearing boots or blazers (not the jacket kind, mind you). Sharp look no matter what the season or reason.

Be True To Your Crew.

First things first, madballmarshall? Great eBay name. Second things second, the L.I.O.N Nike rip off hoodie? So rad, and a personal favorite.

The auction doesn’t say if this one has it, but the one I have tucked away somewhere has “Be True To Your Crew” across the back. Looks killer. Mine has gold foil though, not rainbow. I strangely find myself wishing it was the other way round, because the rainbow looks tight. But it’s all good. I got mine when DFJ (who was in L.I.O.N. at the time, despite living on the East Coast. A true hero, that man) and I did the TWS West Coast gig with Martin and Foster on guitar and bass, respectively. That gig would have never happened with out L.I.O.N; Andy did all the leg work setting things up and Martin as mentioned handled guitar duties. They tore it up hard that night too…

Alas, the TWS footage shot at this never surfaced, other than a brief 30 second snippet that used to be on youtube. Definitely bummed about that, I remember things as being nuts. Anyone who knows where I can get my hands on it… holler.

More Like A Hard World

I’m not going to lie. This shirt looks BEAT. It looks like it’s been rattling around some kids back seat for the last 4 years. I’m scared to see what the neck looks like. You may get a neck breaker but not for the right reasons. If you’re feeling adventurous, hit up i-am-mine22 and get that gear.
