Edge Day 2008

If you don’t know the back story on this tee, let me fill you in.

Our good friend Jason Barrow had a beautiful dream. He imagined handing tshirts to every kid who attended edge day 2008 Xed up. No cost to the kid, just ink on their fist. So he pulled it all together.

First he enlisted TTD’s very own JayBil to design the tee for him. JayBil had to redraw the entire FP man by hand based on images online. No joke. And he picked some great fonts.

Then Jason hit up Kris Mission of Mission Merch to screen the tees. Shirts arrived fresh, crisp and on time.

As each Xed up kid came in the door, they were given one of these. Very cool of Barrow. Lots of #PMA karma there.

Personal note: I contemplated taking a kids shirt away for moshing like a douchebag. I’m sure Barrow would have approved, but I didn’t think it was my place.

Bane Fall Tour 1999

The fall of 1999 was an amazing period for hardcore.

Check the last date on this tee for that reference.

Here’s a fun fact about this tee.

The back print should be two color. There are words and a gun in black, and another gun in tan. For some of the shirts, only one print was used, the dark gun and words. Probably 30-40 of those were made. At least, that’s the number I’ve always heard. You can either take your chances with this one, or ask the seller what’s on the back since no pic is provided.

For those keeping score, this shirt came on black and drab green. It may have come on tan, but I’ve only seen those two colors. Anyone got a black in size M or L for me??

Have Heart Crew Tanktop

These tank tops were made up for the 2nd to last Have Heart gig. The Pre Edge Day show at Anchors Up in Haverhill Mass. I think Sam or Apps rolled up with boxes of these and began distributing them to the crew. Of course, they gave out other tees as well.

I’m not a tank top man, or a probably one to consider myself “Have Heart Crew,” but when I attempted to snag a Have Heart Sucks tee, Sam had already given them all out. Bummer.

But now this one is up on eBay. Weird. Guess someone wasn’t into wearing tanktops anymore, or possibly was never into wearing tanktops at all. Oh well.

This one is certainly a crucial limited shirt. Don’t sleep.

Floorpunch edge day shirt

Weve had this shirt on this site before. Infact it was one of if not the first post we had. A few weeks before this show Barrow contacted me about laying out a shirt idea he had real quick for some shirts he wanted to have printed up. I ended up having to redraw the mosher guy from scratch because the one on the demo cover was all pixelated and would have looked kinda shitty big on a shirt with all the jagged edges. So after I redrew it, layed it out and handed it off, Barrow sent it off to the printer. For my favorite American holiday Barrow ended up paying out of his own pocket to have a bunch of these shirts printed up and then he handed them out for FREE to dudes at the edge day show if they were X’d up in the spirit of Edge Day. Good karma for Barrow. Bad Karma for the seller

Ten Yard Fight – 10.17.99 Poster

10.17.99

Where were you? 10.17.99 could be like our generation’s “where were you when Kennedy was shot.” Nah, not really, that belongs to another fateful event in the fall of 2001 (at least for most Americans).

I was really digging this poster. I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen one in person. One time I did see the original mock up of the b9 skull/cemetery poster in Chris B9′s house though. That was cool. Thousands of photos taped up on one of his walls. Quite cool. This poster is obviously more crucial.

Anyone got one to trade? Hit me up.

Get Your Floorpunch Fill!

Ok

Get ready. You may want to set up your auto sniper now.

This longsleeve came from the 10.17.09 show in Richmond. Oh word? Shore Style, yo!

Here’s a rare shirt from Sound And Fury 2009.

Ok, best for last.

This is a 1 of 33 football jersey that was created for the This Is Hardcore fest in 2009. These weren’t sold. They were given to friends and family of the band. They will never be reproduced.

I found the edge 11 years ago …

Title Fight – Summer Tour 2009 Tee

You may have heard of Title Fight.

Actually, if you are over the age of 24, you probably haven’t heard of Title Fight.

If you are over the age of 33, you’ll probably nash your teeth at the rest of this post. Because Title Fight isn’t your garden variety hardcore. No sir. There hardcore is laced with pop chunks. Yes. Pop Punk and Hardcore have mated. Not a new concept either, but these guys can pull it off nicely.

Check this news article.

Apparently at National Edge Day, I stole Ned Russins copy of The New Scene. My apologies to Ned. He will get it back, fear not.

More Have Heart 10.17.09 Merch

I like people. People give me the PMA. Take this seller for example.

He went to the last Have Heart show and bought a tshirt for his friend. Now that’s just generous. That’s just a nice thing to do. Positive Karma for sure. Sadly, his friend was too small to wear a medium tee.

I’ve bought a few tees for a friend over the year, and you know what? Not once have they ever fit him. It’s weird. My friend Ed Bay is just a awkwardly shaped dude. But I’m always upping my positive karma by picking him up a tee. One day it’ll work out for my good pal Ed.

Big fan of the maroon ink tee.

FYI: neither colors of this design are “rare.” Unless you classify “one of many hundreds” as “rare.”

I agree with the seller though. Not many will pop up on ebay. That’s true. Mostly because either B9 or Have Heart will soon be selling the remainders. Huh, who would have thought?

Happy Nat’l Edge Day

Edge Day Special post. How could I not post up TYF shirts on Nat’l Edge day?!?

Although if you really want to show how much you love the edge you would bid on this Minor Threat “In My Eyes” test press directly from Jeff Nelson!

Ten Yard Fight – Demo

First, it’s Edge Day tomorrow. You need to start listening to more straight edge hardcore. Up your ratio. Here’s a good place to start.

You already know this, but this is perhaps the best demo of my generation. No idea what generation you are, but this was all me. Late 90s straight edge hardcore revival. Thanks to TYF for kicking this off for real.

I’ve got a tight grip, I’ll stay on top.
I’ll hold on…until my last fucking breath!
