Do people still care about Mental gear? If not they should. I recently had Planet Mental come up on shuffle and that record has not lost anything over the years. Still just as awesome. This shirt is a little bit before Planet Mental. Actually a lot before, I would put this around the first 7″ but I sould be wrong. Ive been wrong a ton of times before. Overall the condition of this shirt looks to be pretty mint which is awesome for a shirt that is 7-8 years old at this point. Holy shit! is “And you know this” really that old? Time fucking flies!!!!!! This reality/time check has been brought to you by wonderxwander.

October Show Flyers: A Proposition.
Ok, so here’s the deal.
If you have a show that you need/want a flyer for that’s happening in October, I want to make it for you. Why? Because I made these 3 flyers this week, and all of them have horror movie themes. I really like how they came out, so I want to keep it going…

If you want in on this, email me at christophermorgado@gmail.com with the info for your show, and if you have a particular 70s or 80s horror movie you’d like me to run with feel free to include that as well (I’d prefer to not head into the crap that is called horror post-Scream). Please try not to have it be TOO obscure or shitty, as I have to be able to find material to work with. As you can see, Rosemary’s Baby, The Shining, and The Exorcist are all off the table. I want to do as many of these as I can, but I also don’t want to bite off more than I can chew, so I’m only accepting submissions until the 25th, that way all flyers are done before the end of the month and you still have time to make and distribute flyers. I’ll be tackling them on a first come first serve basis. I want you to still have time to flyer your show and all, but if you’re gonna wait to send me your show info until midnight of the 25th, and it’s for a show on October 8, it ain’t gonna work out. Use your head and consider your lead time, this is short notice as it is. The finished product will be sent as a 300dpi scan.
Now, here’s the catch: I’m strictly doing cut and paste. That means Kinkos. That means money. Obviously since I’m not drawing anything for this, I’m not gonna try and charge my usual fee for artwork. That would be shitty of me. But I can’t quite afford to do this all out of pocket either. So if you want in, I’m gonna have to ask that you make a donation of at least $12. If you think that sounds like a lot, I ask that you bear in mind that making the 3 flyers above cost me about $40 in printing, copying, and both personal and Kinko’s computer time. If you want to donate more, that’s totally awesome and I’d really appreciate it. If you want to donate and don’t even want a flyer, that’s pretty cool too, in fact it’s even cooler than this idea.
Paypal donations (or orders, if you prefer) should be sent to meatisred@hotmail.com. If you want a flyer made and aren’t just being super cool, please make sure to contact me BEFORE making a payment so I can keep track of who sent what to who and when and where and so on.
So yeah. That’s the deal. I think it could be pretty cool. Maybe I’m wrong. We’ll see how it goes. Thanks for reading. I love the season of fall, the month of October, and the holiday of Halloween. Peace.
Invasion Posi Numbers 02 Tees.
Seller noxnever brings us a pair of Invasion tees from Posi Numbers 2002…
Awesome tees (he says modestly), and it was an awesome set. I have it on VHS somewhere. BTrust on bass, Dave Murphy singing Discriminate Me and falling all over the stage… such a great set. I do have two nits to pick with the sellers descriptions tho: 1. I drew the first one, and let me tell the seller: those are not knuckle dusters. They are rings. As in Five Golden Rings by Rest In Pieces, and inspired by the Love/Hate rings in Do The Right Thing. 2. The second tee is not strictly an Altercation mock. It was taken from this Side By Side/Altercation flyer featuring both the Altercation guy AND the Side By Side skinheads:

Man do I wish that set was on youtube. This post could use a video bad.
Why Buy This When You Can Buy This:
Apologies to enjoid3, but this Wrong Side tee was a terrible, horrible idea. I should know: I designed this abortion. Don’t buy it unless you’re a completist.
No sir, don’t buy it. Especially since due to popular demand, for a limited time you can head over to Shop Shogun and buy the revamped version from last months show with Cro-mags:

Mental Longsleeve
A little early Mental action from reno_216. This was drawn by our very own Morgado. Seller states that he got this at 2003 Posi #s fest so that is most def early in Mental’s career. I have this shirt but in a short sleeve. I dont remember it in a longsleeve but its a good look. Early Lockin Out should fetch some nice bucks
So Be It.
Another tee that veggiexburger outgrew, and I feel his pain on this one because I outgrew mine too. It’s my own fault tho; I drew the tee, and as part of my payment I took a size Medium. Which would have been fine, except these ran kind of small. So I had to stop wearing it. Biggie bummer, I always liked how this came out on fabric, so to speak.
Speaking of Jo Kelly and of things I drew, I was sad to hear he wouldn’t be playing bass on the New Lows summer tour. But his spot is being covered by the always adorable Jimmy Flynn. If you live near any of the tour stops on the drawing below, be sure to hit up the gig and heckle him. But not Pboy. Pboy would own you in the heckling department.

Surf’s Up.
Well, everyone else is gonna be out in Cali for Sound and Fury the rest of the week, so minus some posts the guys set up before they left, you’re gonna be stuck with me for the duration. Sorry about that. I am also sorry about the crappy wave lines on the surfing Floorpunch dude I did for their Fast Times At Sound and Fury tanks/tees. Never been truly satisfied with those…
For the record, I do in fact need one of these, as I never got one. If anyone has a Large they wanna let go for cheap, feel free to comment.
Skank It Up!
Seller sumom666 has the latest Dead End Path tee that I designed up for auction, but when I say “designed”, I use the term loosely. My design was this lil’ guy:

Cute ain’t he? But for whatever reason, only the block lettering made the final cut…
I’m told Smoky the Pigeon up there is actually somewhere to be found in the massive mosh pittage that ended up being the back print on the final product. Alas, this auction is devoid of close ups. I can see a Circle Jerks pitter skanking it up in there tho…
Talking Trash
As much as we like to talk trash on Morgado, he’s genuinely a good dude. Don’t let his shirtless demeanor fool you, or his attempts at being in a bad mood. He’s a big ol’ teddy bear. At the next show, make sure you give him 5 or 6 hugs. He loves stuff like that. As for Trash Talk, they’re a little more ferocious. I assume at this point that you’ve all seen and heard Trash Talk. And at this point, that you all love Trash Talk. That’d be in your best interest. Go support the band. Buy that tote bag, do it. You can put a picnic lunch in it for you and Morgado. It’ll be sweet.
Is this shirt purple? Is it navy? Is it tailored to be a small skirt? Weirdest picture …

fightoffyourdem0ns5
I’m pretty sure I know what this one says, but can I get an actual translation just in case. In my mind, it reads, “Morgado Is My Hero,” but I’m guessing that’s a poor and loose interpretation.

Morgado Art Collection.
Since I’ve been spending more of my week on art then posts, I figured it might be appropriate to post up these three auctions (with BINs. High ones) from ragingbull20. Why? Because I did the design/artwork for all three.
This was based off a doodle I made while we were recording the lp with Jamie Locke. Obviously it was playing off the Feeding Time at the Zoo title for the intro. I think I may have even literally given Greg a drawing no bigger than a napkin.
I actually didn’t even know this version of the first War Hungry design I did made it on a tee. The original drawing had the band name under the tank/goblins, with a smiley face nuke cloud in the background, and they had all been drawn separately. So on a whim, or maybe in case they didn’t like the nuke cloud, I pasted up the sideways version used above.
Pretty sure I’ve explained this one before, so in short: Alferd Packer. Google him. Hatchet in your head.
