Bold Join The Fight HYE shirt

Ebay seller jorakthrashon has listed one of the BOLD Join The Fight shirts that Murphy and I made years ago. Made off the original screens, I think they came out pretty good. I am glad we did the sleeveprint on these, even though it is less than flattering. We have seen some sellers try and remove that sleeveprint, but shady people are another story. Good shirt if you can snag for cheap.

Go Vegetarian

Justice sold these shirts at Posi Numbers 2005. This was the last Posi Numbers. Too bad because it was one of the best fests. East coast, and always mad heads. The pool at The Woodlands was unfuckwithable.

So we had set up a tent within the turfed dome to sell some HowsYourEdge merch out of. We ended up giving Morgado some space to sell his Wrongside merch too. Good times.

At one point, I thought I was having a dehydration crazy dream. I saw a dude wandering around in a shirt that said “Go Vegetarian” on the back. As a dude who has been vegan for some years, I was pretty stoked on this tee. I then realized that not only did the back say “Go Vegetarian,” but SO DID THE FRONT. Of course, it turns out it was a “one of one,” and the dude wearing it was in Justice (pretty sure it was Flip … but don’t quote me on that). I asked him about the tee. He told me it was a one off and then he directed me towards the Justice merch table where they were selling the regular version. They ended up selling out already, and I was forever on the hunt. A year back, I was telling a good friend this story and my woes of never getting one. He reached into his drawer and handed me his. Literally. It was easy as that. Best dude, for obvious reasons.

“Burgers Are Made Of What!?!”

So unless your friend has one of these to give to you, I’d suggest picking this one up.

Right Brigade – All About Me

Much like Cooch over on vinylnoize.com, I like when a seller gives a little background on the item I’m buying. Again, like Cooch, I don’t need a full history of the band, but rather the history of the item. It’s the item I’m interested in buying. I’m certainly not buying the 3rd guitarists wheat allergy (which would only be considered interesting if the shirt I’m buying was made from recycled wheat products).

But this Right Brigade shirt is literally all about me. Now this is a description I can get into.

I traded this tee to Dobek probably 5 years ago. He was still living in London at the time. We had this continuous trade going on that involved me sending him hardcore merch, and he would then send me Euro/UK Nikes (jd sports will not ship internationally, or they wouldn’t back then). It worked out for everyone. I removed records from my house and stuffed it full of sneakers. Over the years, I probably got 8-10 pairs via Dobek (and then later from Marcus, Adam, …). It’s funny. I’ve sent this guy some gems, but I have never met him in person. We’ve probably been emailing each other regularly for over 10 years, and we’ve never met. When I visited London, he had just moved to Japan. And I haven’t made that Japan trip, but he’ll probably move to Korea or Finland or Papa New Guinea before I can get there.

Read the description. It’s a good one. I’m tempted to buy it back. I just might.

Bold – Join The Fight HYE Bootleg

A few years back, maybe 2002 or 2003, my friend happened to come across an older dude with a giant pile of crucial merch. Amongst a huge bag of demos, zines and tshirts, there lay 2 tshirt screens. Those screens were for the Bold Join The Fight tee.

We screened these shirts up for Posi #s 2004. Too differentiate these from any original tees, we screened “How’s Your Edge?” on the sleeve. You know how ttd/hye feels about bootleg tees. We gave a bunch out, sold the rest. Kids seemed genuinely psyched to get them. I was glad for that.

Years later, Bold would reprint these shirts. Good looks.

The seller of this particular tee did something a little out of the ordinary with his.

These shirts were remade around Posi #s 2004 (the one in the maze) and I scooped one up there. It had a sleeve print noting this, but I removed it professionally. Great looking remake that is exactly like the original, but not an original. Very cool, and from what I know totally on the up and up as far as reprinting it with approval. Great shirt but I can’t stand to see it go unworn. Some young edgemen should score this and make it a weekly wear. JOIN. THE. FIGHT. (i still like Bold, 4ever.)

Now that’s hardcore.
