Have you seen Minor Thread? It’s a blog after our own hearts. The dude, isacto wears a different tshirt everyday. And by everyday, I mean, he doesn’t wear the same shirt over. 1 for every day of the year… He posts it up and mentions where he got it, what it means and other interesting tidbits. We’re into that. Apparently Forbes was too… He’s also selling a large portion of his collection (mostly cds) on ebay. But this Descendents shirt is different. This one is from the Santa Monica Goldenvoice 30 gig. He’s a big Descendents head, and is looking for one he doesn’t have. He wants the Australia 2010 shirt so hook him up!

Descendents Bonus Winter 86 Tour shirt

Seller gleetus has listed up this sought after Descendents shirt for a weird starting price of $123. I think people would bite on this if it was a $123 BIN, but it seems a little high, especially in this condition. What a great shirt though. Someday I will own one.

You Can’t Afford It: Descendents 1987.

I’m pretty sure we’ve posted about vintagepimps over priced Descendents 1987 ALL tour tee before, but now that I’ve started doing You Can’t Afford it, I figured it was a good time to revisit it…

That tee is constantly up, and the price tag is not budging. It’s the same as if you had snagged TWO of the “I Wasn’t Around” tee packages the Descendents themselves were selling a few weeks ago, and doing that would have netted you 25 tees! Thankfully there’s a more affordable version of this tee up, but seller steadydietofpez I guess must have based his own price off of this one, cuz it’s only less expensive by a couple hundred bucks… still, it is almost definitely far more fair, so you probably CAN afford it.

Caffeine Nation 1997.

Ok, setting aside the fact that I haven’t had any coffee yet myself, in my eyes only the back of the Caffeine Nation 1997 tour tee that mammal3 has up works. I dig it a lot, it reminds me of the cassette version of the cover to Somery or something. But why oh why is the front some strange full color Jack Davisy drawing of the band and not some sort of Milo? With the color of the tee, and the old school looking back, a Milo drawing would have worked way better. Ah well. A Descendents tee is still a Descendents tee, ie it’s a good, good thing.

You Weren’t Around.

Don’t wanna pay isacto’s lame brain BIN for the Descendents shirt below? Neither do I (and to be fair, he doesn’t want you to either: he’s looking for a trade). Which is why I have a way better idea. Go to the Descendents merch store and buy the “I Wasn’t Around” shirt bundle, and for only 2x the money you can get 12x the shirts, plus a mystery tee! As the title implies, it’s every tee from every one of their recent shows, all of which had their own one off designs. This would make a great Christmas present if you have someone you want to give good good things to. Is it prejudiced to say the NYC one is the best one of these? I may be from Boston, but I do live here after all, and that was an AWESOME show…

Also included in the bundle is the tee from the Punk Rock Bowling show in Las Vegas (obviously- I did say it was all the recent tees, duh). Seller cardking16 has it up, and if you want to buy just one tee it’s a normal, rational auction… but it’s a mock bowling shirt, and even with the Milo and co shaped bowling pins on the back (which if you go for that bundle, are on their own tee, where they look way cooler), the front is some “80s movie nerd goes to prom in a cartoon tuxedo shirt” style. Which now that I think about it, is enough to make this work for me even if I’d never wear it…

hardcorekidinohio is selling the Have Heart “Descendents” rip. I can’t remember…was this sold on the last tour or just at the last show? I like the idea but this was printed on a tan-ish colored shirt…would have worked better on a white tee in my opinion.

Seller uukno is back with another crap ton of posters for you to try to snatch up. Oddly, I think this might be the 2nd or 3rd time he’s tried to sell this half of the Madwall (ie the 2 Madball promo posters passed down to me from Doug Free). There’s a few other familiar faces in there as well, so I tried to mostly fill this post with ones we haven’t seen…

Ok, so we’ve definitely seen those last two, but that COC poster and the Ramones poster? Man those kill it. Tons more in his other auctions, be sure to check them out!

Descendents Email Tee

This coffee pot design was available when I saw the Descendents a couple weeks ago in NYC (a great show btw, one which I would have reviewed had Casali not immediately jumped on the first shirt from it that went up while I was sleeping off my late night. Literally snoozed and losed there), and it’s available on their web store right now (tho only in Small and Medium). BUT it is not being sold in this vastly preferable cool blue color that they were made on for the 1996 tour…

Annoyingly, even the Descendents webstore doesn’t give a large enough picture to tell what exactly the email on the back says. Based on the close up from this auction, it seems it was written by someone who is very excitable about ALL things Milo. Probably Jay Bil.
