Ending Soon Demo Noize

Just a couple of 90s demos for sale by kshisht early on in the new year. I’m not quite sure what the market is for Chokehold or Grade demos, but we are goign to find out. I love me some Chokehold, and early Grade does the trick for me as well.

Foundation Listens To Chokehold

Foundation is quite the touring machine having gone to Russia and getting ready to head to Japan early next year. They’ve had their fair share of merch but this is one of my favorites. xjoshuasmallx is selling the Chokehold rip shirt. He says it was limited and he’s right. I think they only sold them at Meantime’s last show and once they were gone, that was it. Nice 3 sided print including the straight edge sleeve print…great look.

Chokehold shirts

There are a few Chokehold shirts for sale by johnpaul2255 and xx43xx respectfully. I’m a Chokehold fan, and still enjoy listening to them. There is nothing fancy or frilly with Chokehold. You kinda know where they stand once you get listening. The first shirt is the perennial favorite piss gray color. I seem to recall this one having Conquer The World back print, but I may be mistaken.

The second one looks like a Jawk Records joint, but I will wait for the man himself or a proper representative to answer. It has some weird fading on the back and a reserve price for some reason. I hope he set it at $10 because that’s where these will go on a good day.

Chokehold and Alone Records

Chokehold hated everyone. Government, religion and religious figures, pro lifers…everyone. The band had a pretty large amount of releases on various labels and being a Chokehold completest would take some time. Alone Records from central New York stepped in to release a complete discography even going as far as to print shirts to promote the release. Well, the release never happened but the shirts were already printed and being sold. shinesobright83 has one of those shirts for sale and if it weren’t a medium, I’d be bidding. I don’t remember many of these being printed so if you dig Chokehold, this would be a good addition to your collection.

Chokehold

I dont have much to say about chokehold as I never really listened to them. I do have fond memories of the only time I ever saw them. It was in New Bedford, MA at some big gig. What was it, the new bedford emo fest? All I know is that it was the first time I got a chance to see Ten Yard Fight live and it was great. The rest of the show was a blur or bands getting pelted with food no bombs bagels, people getting their necks broken, my first time seeing lifetime. Probably the only time I ever had fun at a fest.
buyer beware again as these have been defiled tailored by igren

Chokehold Reserves

I don’t like reserves. As a seller, they aren’t worth it. Putting up a reserve is extra money out of your pocket from the get go. Even if the reserve isn’t met, I think you still pay a fee. Not cool. Plus, rather than use a bogus reserve system, why not just list your tshirt at the lowest price you would have created a reserve for? It’s far more economical. I understand the psychology behind listing a tshirt with a low starting bid, but if there is a reserve in place, you negate that. People bump up against the reserve and just walk away. UNLESS, that is UNLESS the item being sold is an alien artifact, a bulldozer or a 1977 Led Zeppelin tour track suit. Otherwise, reserves are just a waste.

Consider this Chokehold shirt from xdrugfreepridex. Great shirt, no doubt. But he starts with a $9.99 opening bid. Based on the condition of this shirt, that opening bid price almost seems like a pipe dream. The ink looks like it is eating itself from the outside in. Seriously. Then by throwing on a reserve, he’s pretty much scaring every buyer off. That’s my estimate. It’ll be interesting to watch this auction.

Chokehold “Alone Records” shirt

Ebay seller crushedonyou is back again with a Chokehold shirt I have never seen before. Check the description

“this was a VERY limited run of Chokehold shirts issued by Alone Records (on the back of the shirt is the Alone records logo) because they were trying to issue the discography. Well, that never happened.”

If anyone has the entire Chokehold discography handy, shoot me an line. Gooooooood stuff!

Chokehold au naturel

I am not afraid to declare my love for Chokehold. I loved seeing them live. I love all the poorly recorded recordings. It all gets me amped. I, like many of you I’m sure, had this shirt. I also had a Groundwork shirt in the same burlap natural hempy color. They were both XXXXXXXXXL, and they both got plenty of wear.

I don’t remember what it says on the front, but I always wanted a “SLUGFEST BLUNTS” shirt. And that back picture with the triumphant X’d up hand. LOVE IT!

Foundation says, “Listen To Chokehold”

A few weeks (months?) back, Champ emailed me asking for a pic of some old Chokehold tee. Sadly, I didn’t have a High Res version, but was intensely intrigued by why he wanted one. He told me his band, Foundation was going to be doing some Chokehold rip-off tees.

You can see why I would be intrigued! Who doesn’t like Chokehold?

He found the pics he wanted, and I heard they screened up some tees. Never saw them until today.

Not bad, not bad at all. Good use of sleeve print.

Now the seller says “only 10 were made up.” I’m calling BS on that one. If you know differently, speak up. I’m sure it’s limited, but only 10? Unlikely.

Listen To Chokehold.
