Its in my blood

Now were talking. The front of this blast shirt looks so fucking cool. This particular shirt looks like it has the right amount of wear in it too. Now the back of this shirt, that is a different story. Its my least favorite B`last graphic. It just makes me think of rockabilly kinda shit when I see it. While youre bidding on this shirt from yeggin I will be cranking up “power of expression” on my stereo.

Bl’ast! Power Of A Bootleg

A few years ago someone on the Livewire Records message board made a batch of these Bl’ast! bootlegs like adversewind is selling. Call it a bootleg, reprint, original design, a homage or a fan club edition. It’s all the same to me. I actually like this one, just not enough to buy it. I’m a fan of the weird and washed out look. There was another colorway I believe as well. No complaints here.

Black Bl’ast! Power Of Expression 4 sided shirt

I believe this is one of our old Italian bootleggers with a new name which is hard-to-forget. Here is a nicely done Bl’ast! Wishingwell 4 sided reprint. This is one of my all time favorite shirts. I have never seen a REAL one in wearable condition for sale. The last one that hit eBay is in my possession, but it is literally a rag. If anyone out there has a REAL one they would like to trade, I can make it worth your while.

Ensign Bl’asts Through Europe 2001

Let this be the spark! That’s right. Ensign hit Europe fast and hard back in 2001. I think this was in support of their Nitro record The Price of Progression. I of course, wasn’t there to see it. I’m guessing discopaul wasn’t there either. But I can understand why he’d want to snap up this Bl’ast rip off design. Smart look. Interestingly enough some of my favorite shows featured Ensign, but oddly, I can’t recall ever really seeing Ensign play. Granted, I have shit memory but with these shows, you’d think I’d remember SOMETHING.

December 15th 1997 @The 180 Club Hagerstown MD: Yuletide Hardcore Fest: Rancor, Fastbreak, Floorpunch, Rain On The Parade, Ensign, Ten Yard Fight, and Bane
November 28 1998 @The Gym Clinton Mass: Ten Yard Fight, Shutdown, Ensign and Sick Of It All
March 5, 2000 @Manville Elks Lodge Manville NJ: Matt Fest Day 2: AF, Hatebreed, Bane, Vision, Ensign, …

The one Ensign gig I can recall was one of the first shows I saw after leaving Maine for Worcester. IT was at the Bristol Bike Exchange in Connecticut. Super cold, super late. This was back in the day when every Connecticut show started at least 3 hours later than expected. It wasn’t a rare occurrence for headlining bands to begin setting up at 1am. Sigh. I remember more about the event leading up to the bands than the actual bands. My memory sucks. Very uncool.

Bl’ast! Shirt

Here is a retro logo looking Bl’ast! shirt listed up on the old eBay right now. The seller states that the time period for this shirt is “1977-1989 (80s, Punk, New Wave)”. As far as I know this is one of the designs that they sold a few years back when they did those few reunion shows. Not old, but not a crappy bootleg. It’s a solid Bl’ast shirt, especially for those of you who can hang with the devil woman.

Ending Soon Two Cool Posters

I was going to save these two posters from pseudorecordings for myself, but my wife said I was not allowed to hang these in the bedroom. My loss is your gain. I might still bid, but please don’t tell her.

Axtion Packed zine insanity

I am a fan of old hardcore zines. It seems that zines are one of those things that get passed down from generation to generation, residing dog-eared and tired in many an edgemin’s bathroom or coffee table. Unfortunately, most if not all of these zines are worth little to no CASH MONEY, this one being no exception. No one sent natalia112345 the update on this however, and he/she has started the listing at $39.99. It is a good zine, but my lord is that pricey.

If anyone can locate the Bl’ast! long sleeve that Lukey Luke is apparently wearing in that picture, please do get in touch. Please.

Bl’ast & Santa Cruz

Back in the day, Santa Cruz put out some ads featuring an amazing picture of Bl’ast playing at the top of a half pipe. It was huge. And Roskopp was going huge too. You could find it in either Transworld or Thrasher. But Santa Cruz did up some posters too. And the poster is very much in demand these days. Someone then went ahead and transferred the image from paper to cotton. Below is their handiwork. I remember dudes talking about this shirt on the LWR but can’t recall where it came from. I should probably just ask the seller. He’d probably know.

The Power Of Expression

Anyone find Casali a black WW Bl’ast tee yet? He’s still looking…

Perhaps to tide him over, you could buy this boot of of hottdogg9000, and send it his way. Better yet, buy it and keep it for yourself. Then one day when he really needs it, you’ll have something to hang over his head.

Not sure why he’ll need a mid 2K boot, but hey, you never know, right?
