No Ugly Chucky Face. That’s the description that rulio500 gives these Bad Seed sweat shorts. Granted, I agree. I could never get into the whole Chucky thing, but I saw how it worked for a band called Bad Seed. These shorts are very limited. Only given to band members. The logo is even stitched, not screened. Pretty cool. Would make for great look come summer dump runs. I may have to snag these.

Now that summer is in full swing, it’s pretty damn near impossible to wear sweatpants to the gym. That’s the look for me. Big fan of sweatpants, big fan of sweatpants at the gym. I’m sure Morgado would be worried about seeing his calves clearly. In fact, that dude probably rocks a speedo to the gym. Doesn’t want to miss a single ripple in his quads. But for me, sweatpants are fine. It prevents the douchey salesman from asking me about tattoos or showing off their ankle butterflys. Good by me. But summer isn’t sweatpant approved. So what’s a guy to do? The answer here is sweat SHORTS. That’s right, and thebeatgoesron has the connection on this one. Plus, all his sales are going to fund his Sound And Fury fest tickets. Two thumbs up.

Bad Seed – What’s The Joke?

There has got to be a funny joke going on with this auction from mglick87. I just don’t get it. Here’s what I see. One pit stained v-neck tshirt with an x’ed up Kong (diddy? donkey?). And the X was done by the kid with a sharpie. Granted, it looks dope, but check the high bid. It’s well over ten thousand dollars. Do not get. For anyone interested in bidding on a Bad Seed shirt to actually own and wear (instead of some fake bidder shit), I suggest this one, this one, this one or this one (ok, maybe not that last one).

Chucky’s Revenge – Wilkes-Barre

I never under the fascination with Chucky, but Bad Seed seemed good with it. They used the Chucky figure on a few tees and hoods. If you are into that, then you’ll be into this zip hood from glangworthy. I personally love the front image, but the back is just so-so. Like I said, I never got Chucky, but the graffiti logo is great.

Wilkes-Barre Hardcore … Here To Stay!

I was lucky enough to see hang at the Triple B Records showcase all weekend. Lots of great bands played but to be honest, I think Wilkes-Barre stole the show. Seriously, holy shit, how good were these bands? Split over two days, but the WB crew came and represented. United Youth kicked off day one, and had GREAT Uniform Choice rip off shirts. Don’t be an idiot, download their demo right now (sorry Barrow, it’s ripped at 160 kbps).

Sadly, I couldn’t find any Disengage tees on ebay for your enjoyment. Mostly because you’d be dumb stupid if you sold your Disengage tshirt. Back To Back Records represent, such a great band. You’ve seen Ned with a guitar and mic stand, but this is Ned letting loose. And we’re fans. Since you can’t get a Disengage tee, go ahead and grab one from this … other band. Maybe you’ve heard of them.

Next up was Stick Together. Seriously, so good. No joke good. If you happened to catch them with Maximum Penalty last night, consider yourself lucky. Lots of Straight Edge pride up there.

Then day two brought us Dead End Path. Not so positive, but damn, these dudes bring the mosh. Keep your eyes peeled for a AWESOME longsleeve, great Supertouch Painted Sky rip. Thanks Uriah! Much appreciated. You can find one of their shirts up on the Triple B Records bigcartel site. You can only get these shorts from the band directly OR ebay, of course…

So yeah, Wilkes-Barre Hardcore, here to stay! Maybe not still on top, but certainly here to stay. And that doesn’t even include Cold World, War Hungry, Bad Seed … And a ton of other great bands. Too many to list, obviously. And I’m sure you will leave some comments about what bands I forgot, neglected or attributed to the wrong city. Thanks.
