American Nightmare pullover

Well I’m taking a moment to pop in my time machine and go back to the early 00s and remembering how crazy AN hoodies were when they were on eBay. They went for so much money that it irked me. Then it died… people couldn’t even get rid of some shirts at one point in the late 00s. Since the reunion people seem to care again so I’m curious to see how much this hoodie that thexgroater is selling will go for. I always liked this one better than the AN zip up.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of the merch handsteez is selling. He has some good stuff. I mean, you can’t really go too wrong with Blackilisted or American Nightmare (which shocklingly is NOT reunion related …) merch. Right? I’m right. Kids love those two bands, for good reason. But the opening bids on these four items are a little perplexing, no?

Now that the American Nightmare reunions have come and gone, Ebay is going to be flooded with people who are flipping the merch they bought which Murphy touched on the other day. Some of the sellers are seeing what others have theirs going for so why not offer up the old Buy It Now. We can bitch and complain all we want about people flipping their merch but at the end of the day, it’s going to happen. Do I agree with it? Not really but it is what it is. Here’s a couple of my favorites so far:”

sidebofmywar just has this one up as a BIN. At least they aren’t offering some story of how their “friend” decided they didn’t want the shirt.

seeitkillingme13 has the first Los Angeles BIN tee up. He must have had this on his list of things to do today when he woke up seeing as how he has a BIN of $1000 and a very reasonable (not really) starting bid.

When you are the first people to flip reunion merch, you should expect a lot of shit. Yes, I’m talking to you, wotp86, codyeatruck66 and richiedge. Hardcore kids hate flippers, unless they are the flipper, of course. You can expect the next few days to be filled with some ridiculous auctions. I’m LOLing at the high bids on these American Nightmare reunion tees. Seriously. LOL.

In an interesting move, graysonblanchette777 lists this dirty denim jacket as a Give Up The Ghost American Nightmare Levis Jacket. Thing is, it’s a gross denim jacket with just a Give Up The Ghost (or as I call them, American Nightmare. Speaking of AN, do you think that shitty metal cover band of the same name could cause such a commotion for a reunion gig? I think not. They’d probably be happy to fill their local watering hole with 6 people they are NOT related to… You know what I mean?). But if you like Levi’s denim jackets with one patch sewn on, please, jump on this BIN… Uh huh.

American Nightmare BIN Bonanza

How’s this for a great way to start your weeekend? Looking back on the last decade, I believe that American Nightmare (Give Up The Ghost) will be looked upon as one of the most important hardcore bands of the last 10 years. Always great live, lots of energy and easily one of the loudest bands I’d ever seen. Shop Shogun has been reprinting many of their old designs but 4 of the 5 that fakeplasticluv256 is selling were not reprinted. The last of the 5 (F*ck These Memories) was reprinted but with an added color not in the original. Scoop up an OG and get ready for their shows at the end of the month.

Internet Nightmare

I’m surprised there isn’t more American Nightmare shirts up on eBay. With the recent sold out ticket sales of the upcoming shows in Boston and LA, I’m also surprised that the shirt that is up for sale isn’t going for much. This shirt that xxxpromisexxx is selling is fairly worn, but maybe you can get it for cheap since a lot of people are sleeping on it. I’m sure right before and after the shows more shirts will pop up.

One final one from tmm3188 before it ends in a few hours. There was a time you couldn’t swing a dead cat in Philly without hitting one of these shirts. I used to have a jacket with it on the back, and a friend of mine has it screened on a toilet seat. I Hate You. shows were always amazing to go to. You could always count on a ton of shit talking, crowd provoking and at least one fight. I saw someone get hit with a ladder once.
