Maiden Dubai June 2007.

Ordinarily, an Iron Maiden tee from post 1993 or so probably wouldn’t be anything we’d post here on Metal Monday. But this 2007 tee being sold by dpr10 is actually a total throwback to the Eddie festooned Maiden tees of the 80s… it’s not as crazy as some of those were, but I’m still into it.

Bad Brains not so good record tour shirt

Oh weird a Bad Brains shirt with the lion graphic. Who would have thought?!? You would think a band with a 30+ year career would have more than like 5 different shirt graphics in total.
As for this shirt, I did not see them on this tour but im guessing it was likee 4 HC songs and then like an hour of reggae songs like every other time i have seen them :( But you know those 4 or so HC songs are some of the best minutes of your life! Viva la Bad Brains

Trash Talk – Destroy

I understand where fruitpunchblues is coming from. Besides being a stand up dude (don’t mind the zero feedback, he’s legit), he also is anti-fruit punch. Every Christmas, my wife’s family gathers and makes their famous “holiday punch.” This one is family friendly and thus, unspiked. Still, not for me. It’s Hi-C fruit punch, Polar Ginger Ale and rainbow sherbet. Yuck. I’d rather drink straight up ginger ale. Can’t go wrong with that beverage, it’s a classic. I’d also accept Polar Orange Dry. Speaking of classics, you can’t go wrong with Trash Talk. Their logo is an instant classic. And since it’s been going strong for 5+ years, you know that’s true. Check out these different spins.

Tour shirt. Locations and date on the back. 2007, sucka.

Or how about this one? The logo speaks for itself. You don’t even need a band name. I’m feeling it.

Or, if you want different, grab this Sound And Fury 2007 design. Kimbo Slice? Word.

And if you are looking for the brand new Eyes & Nines release (or new merch), I highly suggest you go check out their site.

Bane – The Bike Thief

The Bike Thief. Or Bike Thieves. or Ladri di biciclette if you know Italian. 1948. This was a groundbreaking film from Vittorio De Sica. Lots of accolades, lots of awards, plenty of brilliant cinema. Bane have taken an image from the film and used it on this shirt here. It was available for a Summer Euro tour in 2007. botondhonor has a very interesting take on it’s availability. Since I have never ever seen a bane shirt like this on ebay it is rare. There you have it. It must be a fact … Ok, not really. This is as rare as any Bane shirt, really. It might be rare to most Americans as it was mostly sold out in Europe, but that doesn’t mean it’s actually rare, just harder for some people to track down. So it goes. Summertime Rolls.

Ending Soon – Bane 10th Anniversary Hood

Here’s a great Bane hood. No zipper deal, this is a Champion pull over hooded sweatshirt. These were released for the Bane 10th anniversary gig. And the seller has it right, not many of these were made. I think there may have been 2-3 boxes of them. Granted, that may sound like a lot. But consider this. These hoods were sold during a downstairs Palladium gig. That means every kid and their mother was there. Chances of finding a mint one still are very slim. I’m sure most others have been moshed out or skated through. I’m also guessing that poule518 is an old EVR employee. Or maybe the merch company that EVR regularly used back in 2007. Another funny note, I helped sell these hoods that day and while pulling them out of the box, I came across one hood that had no letters stuck to it. They fell right off when I picked it up. So the only thing separating it from a plain Champion hooded sweatshirt is the screen on the back shoulder. I’m a fan. Make sure to snag this one while it’s cheap. I’m contemplating picking it up as a back up, we’ll see.

Bane Ten Year Plus

bgczn2 has learned a lesson or two from the previous sellers of this shirt. The last guy didn’t photo the back, and the guy before him seemed to think a picture of a tshirt smashed into a ball was worth 1000 words (it was not). No, this guy learned. Clear pics, background information, the works. I’m a fan. This was an excellent show. And even for a smaller hardcore gig, it still filled out the downstairs of the palladium quite nicely. Take the response in this video, but add the space of the downstairs palladium. That’s what it felt like. Sans ball slaps.

At Best

When Bane played their 10th (1th) anniversary show, they came out with all sort of crazy merch. 3-4 tees, a couple of hoods, a crewneck sweatshirt, … lots of gear. One of the shirts featured the original demo which had been released 10 (11) years ago. It was an interesting color choice. The shirt was black with red and white ink. I recall at the time some dudes weren’t happy with it. Why? Because the demo was red with black ink. The obvious choice would have been to make red shirts and use black ink. Fast forward a few weeks and bam …

Scoop this one from jrichard84 as I get the feeling it’ll go cheap. Continue reading »

Get In The Van 2007

Have Heart was a tour machine. Not on some Champion tour warrior status, but lots and LOTS of touring. And they always went strong with great tour merch. Here are just a few great examples from their 2007 tours. Fun fact about the Summer Tour shirt. When they got back from tour, they were left with more than a few duffel bags full of these tees. I remember rolling over to the Have Heart HQ and seeing them all. Along with a few “Armed With a Mind” tees too. I slept and forgot to snag one of those. D’oh. But now look at the price of the Summer Tour. Kids are eating it up. Wild times.

Cold World Sound And Fury 2007

Cold World Sound And Fury 2007. Where were you? I wasn’t there. I keep telling myself I’ll go this year. Then it becomes, “I’ll go next year.” I still haven’t made it. But this, I think it’s my year. We shall see. Keep your eyes peeled for something cool soon …

Somehow, two of these ended up on ebay at the same time. Good for you, not so good for andrewbaker123 and richgeorge13. Scoop em cheap!

Have Heart – Big Dogs

Have Heart could very well be the Youth Of Today for the modern hardcore kid.

I mean, I don’t see Pat going Krsna or starting up a Shelter-esque band (however, I could see him skanking to some “Alone On My Birthday” song … well, not really).

But given the reach and influence of Have Heart, I think the argument is valid. Plus, the views expressed by the band are very in line with the message Youth Of Today was pushing in the late 80s.

Something More Than Ink.

I’ve always liked this JP tour shirt. I get a lot of compliments on it when I wear it, for obvious reasons. I recall the band came home with quite a few of them. No idea why. Especially after bringing it to Japan, across the US and to Germany. Great shirt.
