Another treasure from summers past and sixfeetunderrecords. Some people dont really feel the Miami Dolphins colorway of this but I think the shit is dope. Great summer look. I feel like this particular graphic doesnt get as much attention compared to the “be true to you school” longsleeves. Nows your chance to snag this sleeper hit

Be True To Your Crew!
When it comes to Mental merch, this is one of the rarest items out there, second to only a few JayBil designs (planet scace and camo tie dye crew tee). Only two dozen exist, and each one was GIVEN to a dude on the Mental 04 tour. So if you weren’t on that tour, chances are, you didn’t get a hat. I’m pretty sure I’ve only seen ONE on ebay in the last 5 years. If you are a Mental or Lockin Out completist, you need this hat from no-other-way. Good luck.
Update: Greg says “full of BS Mental Def had these FOR SALE don’t be fooled” So these WERE sold on tour, not just given out. Trying to get more information now.
My wish is coming true!!
Mental Eu 04
I don’t know if I’m prepared to claim this Mental shirt as my favorite Mental shirt of all time, but it’s definitely in the top 3. Orange tee with white ink is a win any day of the week. Throw in a simple clip art and crucial font. Another win from me. Pretty sure I saw a kid wearing a “Bath Youth Basketball” tee that looked EXACTLY like this, which is why it’s perfect. And the “Be True To Your School” on the back makes it a “shut it the fuck down” shirt. If xtrueforcex was selling a size large, I’d be bidding right now (and not posting it for you heathens to find, of course).
Mental EU Tour 2004
Under normal circumstances, I would leave this shirt for Jaybil. Not only was Jay on this tour, but he’s also got some inside track with Michiel Walrave (the fellow who designed this shirt, of course). Must be some Descendents brotherhood thing. But here’s the thing. Jay’s busy. He’s got a flyer and a new design to finish up. You’ll be psyched on both, no doubt. So that leaves this shirt to me. Thankfully, I’ve got an angle. You see, this shirt is being sold by axtion-henk. Obviously, you’ve heard of him. If you’ve read any message board in the last 15 years, you’ve come across this guy. So stoked on hardcore, stoked on the edge, just a solid #PMA character. He dropped off for a bit (in more ways than one), but he’s been back at it for a while. Stoked. Love the PMA. This shirt is still cheap. You’re big chance for a deal. Mental had such solid gear on that tour, sooo good. The basketball tee? Shut it down. Solid.
Check out more of Michiel’s artwork here.
Iron Boots – Spoiler ’04
TTD loves Iron Boots and Spoiler Art. Take this jacket from ian_tyler. Just an excellent look. Those skinheads on the back have got a hard style. So good. Make sure to check out SpoilerArt.com. Maybe you can convince him to do a design for your band.

The LOC
I had a chance to chat Greg Mental up at the Triple B Records gig. Great gig. Good dude. We were talking about his record label, Lockin Out Records. I was asking him about that Rampage shirt with a different LOC logo to it. He informed me that a few bands actually had different LOC logos. I didn’t know. Or I didn’t recall. Here’s the break down. Rampage had one, Dead End Path and Justice. He may have said Terror, but my mind is mush. I can’t remember crap anymore. But this shirt from xxxbostons has the OG LOC log. 2004, stylee, yo.
Spumoni? WTF?
Oh boy. moltenchenoweth refers to this shirt as with “spumoni” colored ink. WTF is spumoni? I had to look it up. I had seriously never heard of it. Turns out, spumoni is a triple layered italian ice cream with nuts or candied bits. Who knew? I assumed the seller was italian, which is not the case. The seller is actually from Funland, United States. I’m guessing Funland is all about cannabis and a lack of Neapolitan ice cream. Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate. No brainer, good eats.
Have Heart Tour 94 …
A few weeks back, I picked up this No For An Answer Tour 94 tshirt. The seller is a dude who reads our blog and has been known to drop ttd in his ebay descriptions (he’s also selling some EPs from his record label, snatch them up!). He warned me that it was tailored, but for the $20 BIN price, I had to pull the trigger. Of course, I get it and it’s real awkward. It fits just fine, but it’s awkward. I sort of feel like a weight lifter on Venice beach in the late 60s when I wear it. Good look? You never know.
How does this relate to Have Heart? Well, just peep the shirt below. liltaryn103 drops this winter tour 2004 / 2005 tee. Smart rip off look, very appropriate. If you clicked the above link, you’d immediately see what I’m talking about. Make sure to grab this one. Can you believe that tour was 5.5 years ago? Damn.
Justice Road Crew!
dangerzone82 has a good one here. This is a Justice Road Crew tshirt. They were created for the US / Euro tour in 2004 with Mental. They only made enough of the “ROAD CREW” designs for members of each band and roadies. That means this one is quite limited. Sadly, I didn’t get to see many of those gigs as I was in the US. I’m pretty sure I saw the kick off gig. I’m also 99% certain that Jaybil roadied for that tour. I’m sure he has LOTS of great stories to tell on that one. But we’re keeping him busy with other projects … Just you wait!
