Sic Transit Gloria is a latin phrase. Or part of a latin phrase. Most often, it’s referenced as sic transit gloria mundi, which translates roughly as “wordly things are fleeting.” The direct translation is a little more lofty, “thus passes the glory of the world.” Heavy shit. Of course, by leaving off the mundi portion, which translates as “of the world,” the phrase is slightly loftier. And in most circles translates as “glory fades.” Rough. Thankfully, omegared2007 has been safe guarding this shirt for the last 7.5 years. You won’t be getting a roughed up shirt. You’ll be getting a gem. Not bad, right?

Hatebreed Print Plus Coffee Spill
Can we get Jim C to weigh in on this print from hunkapunk? This is a limited edition, hand screened, hand signed and number print. It was created for the Hatebreed, Bane, Poison The Well and What Feeds The Fire tour of 2002. I’ve honestly never seen this print before, and I honestly have no idea who the artist is. The art is not familiar to me and the signature is unrecognizable. Also, screening a print on the back of a target practice screen? Wow. Tough. I’m sure Ange would approve. Is that coffee, orange juice or beer? If this print was unstained, we’d have a battle on our hands …
Your Lucky Day – Desperate Measures Style
I’m guessing rickorwithoutyou has been hitting the sauce. Seriously, how else would anyone in their right mind come to the decision to sell these gems? Just kidding, rickorwithoutyou, I’m sure you have great reasons for selling. I’m not sure I could do it. Check that longsleeve. So fucking ill. But then again, that’s how Desperate Measures merch went. Not a lot of filler in their shirtography. I’m sure I could find someone who disagrees, but I celebrate their whole shirt catalog. I bet I could get Morgado to agree with me on this one. Not bad for shirts that are 7-8 years old either.
Bane Rushmore Tee
I remember this tee was a bitch to track down. Rushmore was HUGE for a hot minute, and no one was letting these go.
They were made in very limited numbers for a West Coast 2002 tour. I obviously live on the East coast and not the Left coast so I had to do some finagling to get one.
I finally tracked one down in 2005 via ebay. At the time, I think I probably spent way too much on it, but it’s a cool shirt.
Sic Transit Gloria – Glory Fades. You see that phrase pop up often in hardcore. True story.
Moral of this tshirt? Enjoy every minute and don’t pass up a good show.
Strife Rise Again 2002 Baseball Tee
Strife.
2002. Rise Again.
Strife is one of those bands that will never break up. Every time you think they are playing a reunion show, they are in fact just playing ANOTHER gig. I think they played a few gigs in 2009. Maybe 2010 will see another one.
As for this tee, baseball tees rank up there with ringer tees and navy blue shirts. Seems too gimmicky for me. Granted, I’ve been rocking those new Nike SB v-neck tees a lot lately. Love that dri-fit, tight v-neck. Anyone got one in size Large for me? I could use a few more.
The design of this tee seems a little off too. Maybe the screens weren’t registered properly or aligned perfectly. Dunno.
