Because Boston loves hockey and they are trying to cash in on that? Just a thought. I too love Slapshot, but hockey has been around for a million years (too many). Slapshot doesn’t get a lifetime pass on everything hockey related.

I’m not a big fan of the Dropkick Murphys anyway, but this design pisses me off…. You’re from Boston and you are very aware of another band from Boston that has been using crossed hockey sticks and a ‘hockey theme’ for 20+ years. Why go with a hockey themed shirt that isnt a ‘nod’ to that other band? I’m not saying they should make a nod to that other band, but why do the hockey them at all?? Just put your regular logo on a faux hockey jersey and let all the drunken Irish kids buy it on Landsdown street.
